The story of Quinta Margarida began with a vision to hold onto the “Goa of old.” My father, having seen the natural beauty of his youth slowly fade, decided to turn our ancestral land into a living time capsule. Every stone laid and every tree planted was done with the intention of recreating that enchanting, green serenity he once knew. For him, this isn’t just a business; it’s a tribute to the land and the legacy of his mother, Margarida.

Today, we run Quinta Margarida as a family. We believe that hospitality should feel like an open door to a friend’s home. From managing the villas to caring for our resident horses and cats, every member of our family is involved in ensuring that the love and passion that built this place is felt by every guest who walks through our gates.
Our Four-Legged Family
At Quinta Margarida, “family” includes those with paws and hooves! You’ll often find our friendly dogs, cats, and horses roaming the farm. We are such believers in the bond between humans and animals that we’ve made sure your pets are as welcome as you are—we even have our own in-house veterinarian to ensure every resident, permanent or visiting, is happy and healthy.
The Story
“Quinta Margarida is a dream come true, built on ancestral land that has been in our family for generations. Named in honor of my grandmother—’Home of Margarida’—this project was started by my father, who watched the Goa he once knew slowly erode over time.
With a passion for heritage and a deep love for the land, he set out to recreate that lost enchantment. Our villas are not just rooms; they are a piece of heaven on earth kept in its most natural form. From the wild peacocks and resident horses to the serene, green compound hidden in the heart of Candolim, we invite you to shed the stress of modern life and be one with nature again.”
